Online summary

This provides a review of accounting standards and practices following the publication of FRS15 on Tangible Fixed Assets. It provides a uniform framework which should ensure a greater consistency in accounting for fixed assets. The Notes deal with Initial Measurement, Valuation and Depreciation of fixed assets and provides guidance on implementation. Following implementation of FRS15, it is anticipated that buildings will be depreciated. The Notes recommend that the total cost or value of a building should be divided into two categories "Building Core" and "Building Surfaces Finishes and Services". Order Form
