BAHA Members Meeting ~ BAHA Tax Forum with members
of the BAHA Taxation Committee at the Chesterfield Hotel
This past year has seen an unbelievable amount of change in the tax regime and in ways that will affect many hospitality businesses, companies and their employees and investors. We have seen the abolition of hotel buildings allowances with retrospective effect, a severe pruning of plant and machinery allowances and the abolition of CGT taper relief, these being the most controversial of the changes. They all add up to far more tax in the years ahead.
Join us at our Annual Tax Forum to get an insight into how these changes will affect your businesses and stakeholders and to learn of any planning opportunities to allay the worst effects of the changes.

Joint panel forum with the Hotel Marketing Association at the Jumeirah Carlton Tower from 6.00pm
Revenue and Yield Management today - art or science? - fact or fiction? relevant or not?
Key questions to be discussed are:
What does the future hold for Yield Management if the economy continues to slow down, or even worse we go into a full-blown recession?
How useful will your forecasting be if it is based on YM software that uses historical information?
Will YM really be necessary if hotels start running low occupancies and everyone is desperate for business?
Will the position of Revenue Manager become redundant in an economic downturn?
