Membership Grades

Ordinary Member

- for those who are not directly involved in the financial management function but wish to take advantage of the opportunity to extend their contact with the industry's senior finance managers. Typical members are operational managers, computer specialists, chartered surveyors and those who have recently embarked upon a career in hospitality accounting.

Associate Member (ABHA)

- for those who have at least two years experience as an assistant controller of a self accounting hotel or in an equivalent role.

Associate Member Cert. (ABHA Cert)

- for those who have successfully passed BAHA's blended learning course – The Education and Training Programme.

Fellow (FBHA)

- this grade of membership can be achieved in three ways:

Either:

to those who have completed four years as an Associate (ABHA) providing they have had at least two year's experience as a financial controller of a self accounting hotel or in an equivalent position.

Or:

to those who have completed two years as a member (MBHA), providing the same work experience has been completed.

Or:

immediate election for Fellow is considered by a special committee and is normally only awarded to those occupying senior financial positions within the industry.
